Dolce Blue, Do You Remember The Summer Wave?

When Veronica from Dolce Blue told me the ideas she had in mind for the Summerwave promo photos I knew instantly it was going to be an awesome shoot.
We sat down and after some brainstorming and mood-board making we decided on a vintage look with summer vibes. The location would be a pristine beach with silk white sand and warm deep blue water.
When we arrived at the beach and my feet touched the sand I knew no other location could capture the Summerwave vibe like this one.
I had an absolute blast working with Dolce Blue as they all engaged in the shoot and put ideas on the table. It was fun bouncing ideas back and forth and coming up with shots in the moment as well as getting the shots Veronica had already premeditated. They are such a wholesome group with great energy. They aren’t just a band they are a family and I really wanted my photos to capture that family vibe.
After getting the shots and leaving the beach I began editing. It took me a while to find an edit that I felt captured the summery vintage vibe we were going for but I finally came up with the look you see now. I tried to replicate the style of film seen in the 70s and 80s.
I am really happy with how the photos turned out and I absolutely love Dolce Blue. They are great people with great vibes and I had an amazing time working with them. I can’t wait to shoot their launch for Summerwave on the 26th of February at The Bird.
